Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc. (CHD) is a developer, owner, and operator of 20 renewable energy generation facilities totaling net 496 MW in operation. CHD is currently hiring a Hydro Facility Operator for our hydro plant in Sudbury, ON.
The Hydro Facility Operator is responsible for the day to day maintenance, service and installation of hydro turbine equipment and sub systems used in the operation of the hydro plants.
We are looking for:
- A Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical, or equivalent experience and skills;
- An excellent understanding of complex industrial processes;
- Skills at hands on maintenance, scheduling and troubleshooting;
- Experience working with multiple trades;
- Training/experience in health, safety and heavy equipment; and
- An independent thinker who can thrive in an isolated environment, on a varied schedule.
This position is a Permanent Part-time position, based at the hydro facility in Sudbury, ON.
